His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said the great attention from His Majesty the King to the youth and sports sector has contributed in the development and advancement of the sports movement in the Kingdom, which reflected in the results of various teams participations abroad.

His Highness also hailed His Majesty’s support to the sports sector which boosted the prestige of Bahraini sports regionally, continentally and worldwide, which resulted in a series of fruitful accomplishments for the Bahraini sports in general, and athletics in particular, and which brought Bahrain to the forefront of advanced countries on the international map of sports.

His Highness said His Majesty the King’s patronage of the Arab event will constitute a huge gain for the championship in all aspects and will give media and spectatorship the impetus and contribute to showcasing the event in the most appropriate form and will push all working committees to muster their efforts and energies to organise the championship in a uniquely optimum manner.
